GENERAL QUESTIONS
Psychotherapy can work in a variety of ways depending on the personalities of the therapist and client, and the particular problems you experience. The focus is to help you meet your goals through talking about past situations, while deepening your understanding of related emotions in order to resolve them. During this process, you learn tools and techniques to guide your response to life’s challenges, so you can meet them with minimal levels of stress, anxiety and/or depression. In my practice, I work best with individuals who are proactive about working towards their goals, because in my experience, psychotherapy works best when we work together to help you improve your life.
While most insurance providers do cover therapy, I suggest that you call your insurance company to get detailed information about your particular policy. By calling the number on the back of your insurance card, you can find out details about your outpatient mental health coverage. When talking to the insurance company, ask what if any deductible applies, and what if any copay or coinsurance you would be responsible for paying. A copay is a fixed amount due at the time of service, while a coinsurance is a percentage of what is covered.
I am an in-network provider for several major insurance companies and provider panels, among others including:
- BC/BS of Illinois
- Magellan
- Medicare
- Aetna
It is always best for you to check with your particular policy, to see how their coverage would be, should you decide to see me.
The best way to reach me is by calling my office at 847-297-7399, where you can leave a message with any detail that you would like about what your needs are, letting me know when it’s best for me to contact you, so that I can do my best to call you back based on that.
